Welcome to Sporting Fields Cattery

Our Sporting Fields Kennel was established in 1942, family run for 3 generations. I have been breeding and showing Whippets and Border Collies for over 50 years.  We have a newly established cattery, breeding Maine Coons for 9 years.

Breeding Goals

Our breeding goals are to breed cats that meet the TICA and CFA breed standards with fabulous temperaments and good health. We do DNA testing and echocardiograms.

Our Credentials

Sporting Fields is a TICA and CFA registered cattery, and we show in both organizations. For CFA, our cattery is under “SPORTINGFLDS.” 

Health Testing

DNA testing done on our breeding stock by Optimal Selection and/or UC Davis.

Echocardiograms done annually on breeding stock; copies of parents’ echocardiogram reports are included with each kitten packet.

We have a three-year heart guarantee for kittens.
